It’s back to school time! Teachers are heroes in my book (so if you’re the new teacher at home, I’m looking at you, too)! This year looks very different than many before, but it can still be successful and happy! This free printable is to help you get to know your children’s teacher(s) a bit better. I have also included some gift ideas that could be helpful while navigating this unique year!
There are two versions- the one labeled “Get To Know You Printable” you can download, print off and physically hand to someone.
The one labeled “Get To Know You Fillable” you can download, then type the answers on your computer or phone and send it right back!
By the way, this is the same form I sent to my friends as well- it makes it easier to buy them Christmas and birthday gifts!
I also thought I’d give a few ideas for teacher gifts, though I will say some of them I never thought I’d be putting on this type of list..but hey that’s how 2020 has gone so far soooo….here we go!
Masks
We love JentaBows masks from Etsy…I ordered the back to school masks for our teachers, and I LOVE my Toy Story and Princess masks- I wear them all the time!
Touch Free Door Opener
With all the germs teachers have to combat, why not help them deal with a few less? This touch free door opener is good for (you guessed it) opening doors, as well as touching buttons, hands free.
This would also come in handy for pushing elevator buttons at resorts during your next Disney stay! Check out all the safety procedures they have in place in my post Is Disney World Safe to Visit?
Hand Sanitizer and Clorox Wipes
My sister in law is a middle school teacher, and when I asked her what teachers want right now, she said “Hand sanitizer, Clorox Wipes, and gift cards!” Our school is calling hand sanitizer and Clorox Wipes part of the “lucky list.”
Gift Cards
You really can’t go wrong with gift cards for teachers! If you know of their favorite store (maybe by using the printable above?) go for it! If not, maybe an Amazon or Visa gift card would fit the bill.
Portable Microphone with Speaker
This might seem a bit different, but I was messaging with a teacher friend, and she said it was hard for her kids to hear her with the mask she’s required to wear. This portable microphone with speaker could help!
Disney Gift Ideas
Have a Disney loving teacher? These items might be great as a special treat!
Hallmark Disney Notepads : This will bring a smile to their face as they write their never ending to do list!
Mickey Sticker Labels: Add some fun to your teacher’s day with these fun labels
Alice in Wonderland Tervis : You can’t go wrong with a durable Tervis, that is also dishwasher safe!
Mickey Mouse Necklace: Nobody can say no to a classic Mickey necklace for under $20!
Alex and Ani Mickey and Minnie Bracelet: Mickey and Minnie spin round and round in this adorable tea cup bracelet.
Florida Gift Ideas
Declaration and Co: This has become one of my favorite local shops (they are based in St. Augustine) for gifts. They have beautiful gift boxes, stickers, jewelry and clothes. Fast shipping and great customer service are their forte!
Sun and Song: Tote bags from this shop just can’t be beat! T bags are hand sewn right here in Jacksonville. Many of them are waterproof, and the prints are designed by the owner! This is a great way to shop small.
There you have it folks- a printable and gift ideas for the heroes that don’t wear capes but educate our kid’s minds! I hope this was helpful, and that you get some inspiration for one of the most important people our kids will cross paths with.
